About HearMeWA
In 2016, a young person from Kennewick, Washington shared an idea to address the youth mental health crisis. He imagined a program that young people like him could contact anonymously to get the help they needed. His idea ultimately became HearMeWA, a resource made for and by Washington youth.
HearMeWA provides support by connecting youth to existing services and resources. Ideas from young people statewide, including members of the HearMeWA Youth Advisory Group, help shape the program and its commitment to antiracist, trauma-informed, and youth-centered values. HearMeWA is run by the Washington State Attorney General’s Office.
